GTB User Permissions & Authorisation Roles

Before You Start 

There are 7 roles currently in use in GTB, for system and CB administrators, as well as end-users. 

Depending on the type of role, you may be able to read-only information, add, modify or delete users directly, or approve or manage certification data. 

Most of your colleagues will be granted CB Staff Member rights as end-users. For issues related to user access management, please contact your CB Administrators.

 

IMPORTANT: CB administrator roles can only be granted by GTB System Administrators upon request from your organisation.

 

ADMINISTRATORS
Data Field Description
CB Admin

CB user allowed to read, create, update and delete the following elements and their related information:

  • Other CB users, incl. role assignment*
  • Scope Certificate (SC)
  • Transaction Certificate (TC)
  • Pre-GTB Transaction Certificate
  • Supply Chain Operators & Sub-entities, e.g. facilities
  • Organic Material

*except Admin roles
CB TC Admin

CB user allowed to read, create, update and delete the following elements and their related information at the transaction certificate level:

  • Transaction Certificate (TC)
  • Pre-GTB Transaction Certificate
  • Supply Chain Operators & Sub-entities, e.g. facilities
  • Organic Material

Scope Certificate (SC) information is restricted as read-only. 

It cannot create or manage users.

 

SCOPE CERTIFICATE (SC)
Data Field Description
CB SC Approver

CB user allowed to approve changes to Scope Certification data.

Role also enables user to read, create and update the following elements and their related information at the scope and transaction certificate levels:

  • Scope Certificate (SC)
  • Transaction Certificate (TC)
  • Pre-GTB Transaction Certificate
  • Supply Chain Operators & Sub-entities, e.g. facilities
  • Organic Material

Role is not permitted to delete information.
CB SC Writer Same permissions as CB SC Approver but allowed to delete information

 

TRANSACTION CERTIFICATE (SC)
Data Field Description
CB TC Approver

CB user allowed to approve changes to Transaction Certification data.

Role also enables user to read and update the following elements and their related information at the transaction certificate levels:

  • Transaction Certificate (TC)
  • Pre-GTB Transaction Certificate

Scope Certificate (SC), Supply Chain Operator (SCO) and Organic Material information is restricted as read-only.

Role is not permitted to create or delete information.
CB TC Writer Same permissions as CB TC Approver but allowed to create and delete information

 

END-USERS
Data Field Description
CB Staff Member

CB user allowed to read-only certification information.
